Possibilities for what the various pieces of junk floating around the space shuttle could be, according to NASA officials:
- Two rings
- A piece of foil
- A reflective cloth
- A "mechanic-looking" cloth
- Plastic filler placed in between thermal tiles
- Something that looks like a picture hanging clip
- A garbage bag
