The McCain Manifesto
From his official announcement today that he's joining the presidential race:
I'm running for President to make the government do its job, not your job; to do it with less and to do it better.
Oh, and he's also boldly opposed to "bloated, irresponsible and incompetent government."

His statement does not support his present actions. McCain is firmly in support of this God-forsacken war, which has continued to be cumblesome, bloated, irresponsible and incompetent government.

abe stiggers Posted Tuesday, March 11, 2008 11:42 AManybody but Mccain.
Many people forget that John McCain came out for change during the 2000 campaign. It's sad to hear that so few people understand that many more of our troops will die, if we attempt to disengage from Iraq quickly. It doesn't matter whether or not you believe we should have gone in in the 1st place. We're there and we need to deal with it in the best way possible. Mr. McCain understands that. I think Mrs. Clinton understands that, but based on Mr. Obama's rethoric I'm not sure he does. Of the 3 major candidates only Mr. McCain has the experience to be Commander-in-Chief.
Erich Darr Posted Tuesday, March 11, 2008 12:23 PMI do not think it would be a good choice to bring McCain into the field. He has been out of pocket for a long time. And seeing him with Bush, is about the most god awful thing I could think about.
Bush was bad enought.
Even Cliton is bad. why go to the worse.
I have seen a few that could get this thing going. So liet us think about that.
Wilma V (Owen) Ranger Posted Tuesday, March 11, 2008 4:18 PMI agree completely with Erich Darr. If we were to pull out of this war immediately, it would create a pocket of land without a government. Many more troops and civilians will die if we do not stay and finish what we started. Sure, i don't agree that we went to Iraq in the first place, but since we are there, we must finish this war or the region will fall into chaos. If we leave while the Iraqi Government is not stable enough to stand on its own, then it will collapse and another dictator will take Saddam's place. Then, Osama will just come back and find shelter in Iraq once again. We must finish this war to prevent another war from starting. I don't know about many of you, but i would NOT like to live in the era of Iraqi Freedom II.
