When Earmarks Go Bad

The New York Times presents a cautionary tale, involving a South Dakota Indian cultural and judicial center that lost its funding when its patron, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, lost his seat.

The problem in SD is the same where ever you have tribal law. No one wants to do business on the reservation when you have "0" chance of suing when problems arise. A simple thing like non payment of a car loan is virtually uncollectable. The solution isn't a business center but existing tribal law.
Life will never get any better on the reservations until this changes
