Union Gets its Girl
By Tom Shoop | Monday, February 11, 2008  |  08:13 AM

"She's our girl!" That's what the National Federation of Federal Employees screamed in a press release issued Friday. And just who is the "girl" in question? That would be Hillary Clinton.

“In her time in the United States Senate, Hillary has been a tremendous advocate of federal workers,” said Richard N. Brown, NFFE's president. So, he added, "We are proud and honored to give her our endorsement.”

I'm really surprised they aren't endorsing Osama. His record, or lack thereof, strikes me as being one that would be much more labor friendly, catering to unions in any way possible. Boy, I'd really hate it for government managers after several years of Osama - imagine the labor contracts - managers may as well go ahead and purchase some handcuffs if he's elected. Billary strikes me as being slightly more management friendly (realistic)

At least they are consistant and backing another looser

When I saw this I just about quit my union! I never was polled, nor my Local. However I remembered that I still have more power with my individual vote than NFFE HQ does as they don't vote. I will exercise my right to do so and vote my conscience.

We are just shy of 20 years of either a Bush or a Clinton as President. Now some would want another 8 years of a Clinton. It seems that we have incest in the Presidency. If the current rag-tag group of candidates is the best that the Dems and Repubs have to offer, this country is in deep trouble and is in need of an alternative party.

Remember: The Clinton administration gave us NAFTA. They poisoned the well with Russia by bombing Yugoslavia.

People are fools to vote for another Clinton and worse to vote for a Muslim. I agree with a comment above: There are three things that frighten me: "Osama, Obama, and your mama (Hitlery)." But on the Republican side, you have McCainic who wants this war to continue for 100 yrs. Ron Paul and Huckabee are hanging in there but will eventually give up due to Media pressures. Media; the true determiners of the election. WE HAVE NO CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT in 2008, might as well sign your own name on the line.

The NFFE only represents a small number of Federal employees. The vast majority of Federal employees are most lokely not Hillary supporters.

This endorsement is a joke! We lost 50% of the DOD Feds under Bill Clinton's administration.

There were significant losses in all other areas of the federal government.

Anyone who believes lies from Hillary needs to have their head examined!

Anyone but Hillary, the Clinton's have a proven track record AGAINST US!!

If you like socialism, you're going to love Hillary!

The previous commenters are throwing up opposition without alternatives. We have Clinton who has observed a governor and a president at work, Obama with no management experience, and McCain who was a naval pilot, which means an officer without a command. Show me an experienced manager. On that score, one is as good as another. At least a Democrat would throw out the Republican appointees.

I just changed my party from democrat to republic because of the poor choice for president that was being presented by the democractic party. I would never have voted for Clinton or Obama.
A soldier in Irag speaking to Chelsea said there are three things that frighten me. "Osama, Obama, and you mama"
Enough said.

I'm still waiting...Name ONE bill sponsored by her that has helped the people of New York, who she supposedly represents. This phony, carpet-bagging socialist cannot be the next president, please!

I believe that it should be self evident to federal employees that Hilary Clinton, like her husband, has ignored some of the most deplorable abuses of federal workers. Many federal employees continue to work in unsafe conditions that would not be tolerated by OSHA.

New hires are mislead if not flat out lied to by OPM who seems more concerned about filling a position with a body than making sure that the employee is treated fairly or that the management is competent.

Than there is this matter of the Federal OWCP that continues to abuse the rights of injured federal employees like some kind of Labor Department mafia.

This stuff didn't just happen yesterday. It was there when President Clinton was in office and Hillary has ignored it during her entire federal career. If she won't acknowledge the inhumanities that her fellow federal employees endure, will she do any better with the rest of the country? I bet she has never suffered once in her entire over-privileged life.

This is a rude surprise to me too. Endorsement or not, I'm certainly not voting for her! Wish NFFE had polled us.

Love those comments above by the totally ignorant that think their interests are even remotely served by the interests now occupying the White House. If these idiots were asked how they stood on issues affecting them they would be surprised who actually is pushing an agenda that supports them.

I wish the National Federation of Federal Employees had polled the members...Hillary would not be the choice!

OK, so just what has Hitlery done for the common civil servant? If she becomes President just wait...she'll do something alright and it won't make us happy. Republican or Democrat, we'll always take it in the shorts.

With any luck she will start running the Federal Government like how she ran Wal-Mart.

Low, low prices and staffed by the mentally challanged.

Roll em back!
