Want to plan some three-day weekend getaways for the next decade or so? The Office of Personnel Management has helpfully provided a complete list of federal holidays through 2020.

While we're at it, we might as well start the debate now: Christmas falls on a Thursday this year. Will President Bush give federal employees Friday the 26th off, too, as a parting gesture? History says yes.

COMMENTS

  • That petulant, tempermental little boy in the White House who cannot understand "Sir, the president cannot break the law either" will exact what revenge he can on the Federal workforce as soon as the November elections show how few of us supported him. A costly day off? Right - I'd bet my next bonus he won't even consider it if his party loses as badly as it deserves to. (Not a problem betting the bonus - it won't be a huge loss.....)

  • There is nothing quite as irritating as whiney democrats/liberals that find it impossible to quit their negative attacks and stick with the specific subject at hand - except maybe finger nails on a chalkboard. Case in point - AF HR.
