Barbara Mikulski is ON FIRE
She just declared: "We’ve got to get rid of this so-called pay for performance. That’s pay for sucking up to your boss."
That is one Senator who doesn't mince words when she's making a point.

US Posted Monday, February 9, 2009 11:25 AMHear! Hear! I fully agree and support Sen. Mikulski's views on PFP. Although government workers should not feel entitled to certain benefits, the PFP system as it currently stands is typical government cronyism.
FedUp Posted Monday, February 9, 2009 11:28 AMPay for performance is far better than what we used to have - pay for years in service. I think this is a wake up call for those "retired in place" employees who feel they should get pay raises just for occupying a seat for 20, 30, 40 years.
I'd like to hear how Senator Mikulski proposes to reward the smart, ambitious, creative Government employees so they don't all leave for private sector jobs.
Really Posted Monday, February 9, 2009 11:55 AMHey, really, I don't agree. We already reward those who are smart, ambitious and creative with performance awards, step increases, promotions. As for employees who don't work, or "retired in place" we already have systems to counsel and work with these employees. If management chooses to look the other way, that is a management problem. Pay for Performance will subject the work force to even more Mis-management, cronyism, favoritism, nepotism.

There are no private sector jobs for these government employees to go to...
Tim Posted Tuesday, February 10, 2009 4:56 AMThis is typical of Mikulski foul mouth low class person that she is. She is a partisan hack remember she and the other fem libs all marched to Congress because a Senator tried to kiss an employee but felt Bills action were OK.
Name a single bill or legislation that she has introduced or that was passed since she has been a Senator
dan ketter Posted Tuesday, February 10, 2009 1:13 PMHeh Dan. Let's see, what bill did Sen. Mikulski introduce or pass. Oh yeah the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 just last month. Thank you Senator Mikulski on behalf of all women in the US. Maybe, just maybe women can now get equal pay for equal work.
Down with Dan Feds Group Posted Thursday, February 12, 2009 9:36 AMI guess it's different when some folks run their low class foul mouth's about our good Civil Service employees, huh Dan!
W D Jackson Posted Thursday, February 12, 2009 9:48 AMTo Tim "there are no private sector jobs out there for those smart, ambitious and, creative government employees to go to". Maybe it's because any good manager , be they, government or private sector, cannot stand a suck up.
