• Phyllis, it's easy for people to throw out comments like "TSA is a joke." Instead why don't you say something useful, like suggest ways to improve the process. We have become a society that likes to complain without putting forth the effort to improve situations.

• TSA is almost uniformly reviled - partially because it has an unpleasant mission right there in your face every time you have to remove your shoes. and partially because it is incompetently run at almost every level. Nail clippers? Shoes? Nail polish remover? These are things that create ill will without providing enhanced national security.
