find someone who knows how to negotiate. The ones who go through the motions now are just governmet workers who grabbed the brass ring. Plus one good plan for all. 400 second rate plans is a joke. One plan for all.
Wise Old Owl Posted Tuesday, September 29, 2009 3:44 PMTry making it illegal to have a for profit health insurance and then make health insurance companies comply with anti trust laws...but, oh I forgot they own congress...think they care if your insurance costs go up?
Dahhuh Posted Tuesday, September 29, 2009 4:15 PMWhy can't Congress pass a law that caps the insurance companies and controls insurance premiums? The insurance companies already control the health care industry and if you don't believe that talk to a few doctors and do the math. While they are cutting benefits they are raising premiums. The President wants a health care bill, simple, control the insurance companies and their huge profits.
Rex Posted Wednesday, September 30, 2009 6:46 AMI read somewhere that the 'average' age of participants in the Blue Cross-Blue Shield FEP is 62.Which says to me there are a lot of seniors in the plan. If Medicare is our primary insurance, why don't the rates reflect that BC-BS is secondary? The Medicare insurance rates are not showing a 12% increase for 2010.
