  • In the article, Smithsonian Board of Regents Secretary Clough said by 2015, he hopes the Smithsonian will be organized around four purposes: unlocking the mysteries of the universe, understanding and sustaining a biodiverse planet, valuing world cultures and understanding the American experience.

Why don't they start with valuing our own American culture and then look at understanding world cultures, especially since American tax dollars are funding this money drain.

  • WOW! as much as 25 grand, you don't say. Now minus all the taxes etc. and a mere pitnance compared to mega buy out dollars paid in private sector, even vouchers for new cars! Guess big business used our tax $ to pay off their herds!!

  • You folks at The Smithsonian, be sure to read the fine print on that buy out of $25,000.00. When they offered that to DOD folks a number of years ago the wording in the fine print read $25,000.00 OR your severence, which ever is less and some folks got a big suprise when they got their check. Read it, read it and re-read it, And then ask questions.
