OPM Director on Bill Sparkman's Death
Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry gave me this statement about the death of Census worker and teacher, Bill Sparkman, found hanged in Kentucky:
"I am shocked and saddened by the death of Census worker Bill Sparkman. On behalf of the federal family, we give his loved ones our deepest condolences. While the full police report is not yet in, the initial reports are very disturbing and we will be following developments closely."

No wonder when Obama is polarizing this country. Hasn't even proven he's legally President. Are we living under the rule of a foreign power? Craziness like might unfortunately happen until sanity is restored. 2010 Republicans must retake DC or this nation will perish.
Helen Posted Wednesday, September 23, 2009 10:04 PMThat's horrible. I worked similarly part time on the 1980 Census in North Carolina, and my condolences go out to Mr. Sparkman's family, friends and fellow Census workers.
Erik France Posted Wednesday, September 23, 2009 11:03 PMWhat I get form the post from Helen is that this murder is justified because of President Obama. Then goes on to say that this will continue until sanity, in the form of a Republican administration, takes back control of the US.
While I applaud the public comment released by OPM Director Berry, Helen's comment itself is disturbing and insulting to the victim and his family. Shame on you Helen, for injecting your personal politics and hysteria into a family's very real grief.
US Posted Thursday, September 24, 2009 10:37 AM"Helen" is, frankly, advocating terrorism. 9/11 was awful, but one unfortunate side effect of that Islamist terrorist act is that's it made people forget that right-wing domestic terrorism is also a threat. The second most deadly US terror atatck was committed by a natural-born, white, military veteran American.
Seth Owen Posted Thursday, September 24, 2009 12:22 PM"Helen" is advocating traitorous behavior.
Seth 'right wing' guess you missed the anti abortion guy being shot on the street this week or the protests in Pittsburgh. These are being done by the liberal elite
dan m ketter Posted Friday, September 25, 2009 12:46 PMHelen, the whole reason that Obama was elected is because Bush drove the country into the gutter! Saying the Republicans will restore sanity is like saying the patients will restore sanity to the assylum!
S B Posted Monday, September 28, 2009 4:50 PMBy the way, Obama's birth certificate is all over the internet and has been readily available since the election campaign. You birthers need to get a life and an education. Sheesh.
